WHO WE ARE
KDC Associates is a Texas-based landscape architecture and planning firm with more than 30 years of experience shaping public spaces across the Southwest United States.
Founded in 1994, KDC works at the intersection of land, water, and community—designing environments that are practical, resilient, and built to serve people over time. Our work spans parks and recreation facilities, athletic complexes, civic spaces, educational campuses, and environmentally sensitive sites, with projects in over 160 Texas counties and across 7 U.S. states Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. We approach each project with a deep respect for natural systems and the realities of how places are used, maintained, and funded. From early planning through construction, our team collaborates closely with clients, consultants, and communities to deliver solutions that are clear, durable, and grounded in long-term stewardship.
KDC Associates is known for navigating complex public-sector projects, integrating sustainable site strategies, and translating vision into buildable, responsible design. Our work reflects a steady commitment to thoughtful planning, environmental awareness, and the belief that well-designed landscapes strengthen communities.
APPROACH
At KDC Associates, our approach is grounded in understanding how land, water, and people interact over time. We begin each project with careful site analysis, listening closely to our clients and the communities they serve, and evaluating environmental, regulatory, and budget realities from the outset.
Our work balances thoughtful planning with practical design. By integrating environmental stewardship, water-conscious strategies, and buildable solutions, we create landscapes that are durable, efficient, and responsive to their context. From early planning through construction, we prioritize clarity, collaboration, and long-term performance—delivering designs that function well, respect natural systems, and stand the test of time.
